Thank You Good Sir
I've never really followed political stuffs. All those were just too complicated for my simpleton brain. But today, Singapore's founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew passed away at the age of 91, really like a grandfather figure for us 90's kids. Tons of articles flooded my facebook stream. Couldn't help it, but a tear ran when Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long made the announcement of the passing our founding father. His father. The long pause when he changed language addressing the public was so heart wrenching.
“You begin your journey not knowing where it will take you. You have plans, you have dreams, but every now and again you have to take uncharted roads, face impassable mountains, cross treacherous rivers, be blocked by landslides and earthquakes. That’s the way my life has been."
"If things go wrong, do not sweep them aside. Confront the problems, get to the root of the difficulties, and wrestle with these resolutely.
Go for long term success, and do not be deterred by criticims."
— Mr Lee Kuan Yew
I may have been living in France half of my life time. But Singapore is and forever will be my hometown. I am proud to say that I'm from Singapore. Thank you good sir, for all the sacrifice you have done .
Architect of modern Singapore, rest in peace. Deepest condolences...
